PE

Attention fools…

If you’re describing the (abysmal) new Jay-Z single and you mention that the sax is taken from Wrecks-N-Effect’s ‘Rump Shaker’, then your Hiphop pass has been revoked with immediate effect.

The clue, fuckwads, is in the TITLE of the song, never mind the fucking Flavor Flav samples dropped throughout.

That’s it. Back to whatever you were doing…

  1. It ain’t abysmal in the slightest. It’s maybe a little slight. The only decent criticism that can be leveled at it is that it samples Jimmy Pate and Lafayette Afro Rock Band(not PE chumpy) and they’ve probably been sampled enough.

Back to whatever you were doing…

  2. its dogwank…

as a Jay-Z single its on the level of a Change Clothes or a Sunshine…

and PE were sampled (unless Flavor Flav was a member of Jimmy and Johhny Pate’s band)… so nyah…

    eh?

    EH?

and I’ll bet a squillion quid that Mr Blaze sampled the sax from the PE record not from the original song that PE grabbed it from…

    IPSO FACTO CUNTO

(anyway I’m just sick of people mentioning ‘Rump Shaker’… its akin to people talking about the great beat on Montell Williams’ ‘This Is How We Do It’ and never bringing up Slick Rick, ya dig?)

  3. “and I’ll bet a squillion quid that Mr Blaze sampled the sax from the PE record not from the original song that PE grabbed it from…”

erm, except that he’d still have to get sample clearance from the *ORIGINAL ARTIST* … ya know, that whole copyright thing.

  4. of course he would, but even though he would pay comp to the original artist, he doesn’t have to sample their record to make his record – he grabs from the PE… (see people sampling EPMD and having to pay Zapp royalties etc etc)
