With Acrojam heading to Atlanta to hang with Amond Jackson for ATL Hiphop Appreciation week last Saturday, it was left to the LIONS to come through and smash on the Underground Railroad. Isreal, Jay-C, and my damn self talking much shit, playing much music, and all that other stuff…
I came through Blazin’ 102.3 last night to hold down a one hour ‘Represent’ mix with DJ Storm. Things were slightly different to the regular Sunday sessions I do up there with Stess and E-Zone – instead of the focus being on bigging up the old school, I had a little more freedom to cover all regions with old and new music, and the results were pretty decent. Props to Storm for letting me come through and rock it – holla at her here or here.
One time for the new Serato update, which now enables me to play my exciting mixtape drops while I mix all from within the same program. Rest In Peace Kue-It. The Railroad crew is already on warning that one day I’ma pull the gunshot and airhorn effects out on their asses.
Stephen and Damian are not the only members of the Marley clan with a busy summer ahead. On May 26, Julian Marley will release “Awake”, his first studio album in nearly six years, via the Ghetto Youths label.
