Slightly out of sequence due to the Blazin’ mixes from 12/27 being on a more accessible hard drive, but better late than never. Last Saturday’s mix on the Underground Railroad featured new music from Joell Ortiz, Wiz Khalifa and Reflection Eternal amongst others, as well as the usual classic Hiphop fare. Jay-C and I then took over the Soul Show for 2 hours, and I’ve included the first part of that set, which is all James Brown tracks in tribute to last weekend’s anniversary of the Godfather’s passing.

WVFS Underground Railroad Mixshow Audio 12/19/09
A week late posting this due to various Christmas-related activities. This past weekend’s mixes from WVFS and Blazin’ 102.3 will be going up in a minute. For now, lounge to this as I bring you new music from Jay Electronica, Drake, Count Bass D and others before riding out with an impromptu bass set to close the show, then opening the first 15 minutes of the Soul Show cutting up breaks. Proper.

Young Punx ft Count Bass D – Ready For The Fight
Continuing my Bass D stannery.
On the real though, this is a great fucking track.
Vinyl Fever in Tallahassee is closing…
Vinyl Fever is closing. I have mixed feelings about this. (The above pic serves to illustrate the problem beautifully, by the way.)
They overpriced most of their stuff, but their selection was fairly decent. They had a nice little indie Hiphop section, but I refuse to pay $18.99 for some shit that UGHH or Sandbox might have for $10 or $11 (or that I can steal if I really only want a couple of tracks.).
